New weather front hits Greece

Worsening weather with showers and thunderstorms in the lowlands and snow in mountains but also in areas of Western Macedonia at low altitude, are expected today, Monday, January 12.
The phenomena that began in the morning from the northwest will weaken and reduce and become limited to the East Aegean and Crete.
The winds in the Aegean will initially blow from southern directions, moderate to strong, and locally almost windy but will gradually shift to north and will expand in the Western and Central Aegean to windy andvery windy. The winds in the Ionian will initially blow northwesterly to moderate but will gradually shift to strong northeast to near gale.
The winds will be accopmanied by showers, mostly sporadic.
