Ten pages of Cretan cuisine in German magazine
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
“Essen & Trinken”, one of the biggest food magazines globally, discovers Cretan cuisine in a ten-page article.
Food expert Kay-Henner Menge notes that “Cretan nutrition can not be bought even with gold”.
“Olive oil from the best olive trees, wines from the best vineries, fragrant spices, herbs and wild vegetables… you think that they have been planted by God himself”, are some of the images the journalist has in his mind, after his recent visit to Crete.
As Kay-Henner Menge writes in his article, he participated in a harvest of olive trees in one of the most ancient olive groves of Crete, in Kritsa… he saw how Cretans make the world famous tsikoudia… he tasted several varieties of wine and… spend a whole day in a biological farm in Rethymno.
