PM's office refutes "no" from Juncker to Tsipras

Mr. Tsipras had a telephone conversation with Mr. Juncker on Thursday afternoon, in preparation of the communication cycle with their European counterparts and the institutional representatives of decision-makers in Brussels, in order to pave the ground for the Eurogroup Monday. On Wednesday he will travel to Brussels for a meeting with the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz and, possibly, with Mr. Juncker. On Thursday he will be in Paris, where he will speak at the General Meeting of the OECD and will meet with its chief Angel Gurria whom Athens has already asked for assistance in advancing reforms.

As stated in the publication of the German newspaper, which has categorically been denied by government sources, Mr. Jean Claude Juncker said it would be better for Mr. Tsipras to wait for the Eurogroup before finalizing their meeting and agreed to talk again after the meeting of European finance ministers.

According to the publication, the negotiators of the Eurogroup rejected the Greek proposals for reform Wednesday, noting that revenue from the collection of tax arrears bring little money to state funds, but concludes that Greece's partners want further privatization of state property.
