Archbishops of America and Greece Inaugurate Child Care Center
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Archbishops of America Demetrios, and Athens and all Greece, Demetrios and Ieronyumos inaugurate, on Tuesday, the Child Care Center of NGO Apostoli, that is under the auspices of the Church of Greece.
The center, located in Moschato municipality, near Athens, will offer care for sixty children aged 6-10 years.
The new center will collaborate with the local municipal authorities as well as with the ministries of health and education, Greek and foreign universities, research centers, and the Athens Doctor's Union.
The aim is to provide a safe and educational environment where children, whose parents are otherwise occupied, can spend after school time.
For Archbishop Demetrios it was a sentimental return after decades to the area where he first performed the inauguration of a local church.
