Jihadist extradited to Albania

An 18 year old was arrested this morning at the Kakavia border crossing station, on charges of involvement in armed conflicts and wars in foreign countries, as announced by the General Police Directorate of Albania.
The young man with the initials JC, was extradited by Greek police in Kakavia and is now in the hands of investigators of the Counter-Terrorism Directorate of the Albanian Police. He is being investigated for possible links with jihadist groups operating in Albania, Kosovo and FYROM.
The young will be referred to the criminal court of the Albanian capital.
Meanwhile, the trial of eight people, including two imams of mosques in Tirana arrested a few months ago, continues.
All are accused of recruiting Albanian Muslims to fight in Syria and Iraq, within the ranks of extremist forces of ISIS and participation in terrorist groups.
