French tourists claim to "own" Lindos

Local Rodiaki” newspaper reports, from Rhodes, that a group of French tourists visiting the island tried to ender the archeological site of Lindos without paying for admission.

They climbed up to the acropolis of Lindos and felt entitled to free access to the citadel.

“We are French citizens,” they said. “And we should not be required to pay to enter Greek archeological sites because our government is one of the European creditors that offered the latest bailout loan to Greece.”

The large group of tourists were very angry when they were denied access to the site. “We own you!” they said while being escorted away from the area.
