EC President Attributes Fear To Greek Deal
European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker has attributed fear as the reason that Greece and its global lenders came to an agreement.
While speaking to Belgian newspaper Le Soir, the EC leader stated, "The worst was avoided...it is fear that made the deal possible." Juncker then added, "After fear there is always relief."
During the written interview, Juncker claimed that Greece should not feel ashamed because the EC had tried to cut each and every corner possible.
