Greek Economy Minister George Stathakis said on Wednesday steps are taken to ease bank restrictions and normalize imports and exports, adding that capital controls will be lifted “very soon”.
Speaking at a press conference, Stathakis said talks are continuing with the institutions on the non-performing loans and the issue is closely related to the bank recapitalization.
Commenting on the sale of 14 regional airports, Stathakis said that the deal is moving along and is expected to be completed in March 2016.
Concerning the problems which, according to media reports, the German group may face in securing funding, he said there has not been any formal communication on the issue with the company.
