Athens radio station broacasts Arabic for refugees

From Monday, September 14, 2015, the radio station of the Municipality of Athens, Athina984, remins firmly committed to an "air" of open borders and wanting to contribute to supporting and providing responsible information for refugees who arrive in Greece.
The radio station has started broacasting daily at 9pm fifteen minute news bulletin in Arabic and every morning at 6.
The bulletin contains all the useful information about the centers, humanitarian organizations, announcements and measures taken by the Greek authorities, news and information from the European Commission as well as news from host countries across Europe.
The website of the station www.athina984.gr, created a special supplement in Arabic for the valid and timely briefing of refugees.
This is the first part of a major initiative of the municipal radio station in Athens, including actions to support refugees, which will be announced in the coming days.
Already the initiative of Athina 9.84 has found a great response from many radio stations across the country. Already the municipal radio Piraeus, "Channel 1", the municipal radio station of Thessaloniki «FM 100», the regional stations of ERA North Aegean, South Aegean, Rhodes , Serres, Florina, and the "Radio Fighter" in Kilkis, have said they will broadcast news reports in Arabic produced by Athina 98.4 FM.
