Greek Australians in Municipal Offices

Greek – Australian Jim Grivokostopoulos has been elected as Manningham's Mayor for 2013-14. He is the second Greek-Australian to win municipal office this week as Mary Lalios was reelected as mayor of Whittlesea.
Mr. Grivokostopoulos said he looked forward to working with councillors and the community during the next year. Manningham is a large municipality of Melbourne.
"We all need to work smarter to make the ratepayer's dollar go further, and working as a team we can do this," Jim Grivokostopoulos said.
Moreover, Grivokostopoulos is the first Greek Mayor of Manningham which is a region with 115,000 residents. He has lived there for more than 15 years.
