"Lobster" nominated in four categories in the European Film Awards

The film "Lobster" by Yorgos Lanthimos has been nominated in four categories in the European Film Awards - Best European Film, Best European Director, Best European Actor, Best European Screenwriter.

This year’s European Film Awards will be presented in Berlin on December 12.
Lobster made its official premiere in Athens on October 22. It is the first English-language film by Lanthimos, starring Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz and won the Jury Prize at the 68th Cannes Film Festival.
It is set in the future where single people are taken to The Hotel to find a matching mate in 45 days. If they fail, they are transformed into an animal and sent off into The Woods. In that setting, one man escapes into The Woods and falls in love with a woman, despite the rules of the Loners.
It is a Greek-Irish-British-Dutch-French production and it is written by Yorgos Lanthimos and his regular co-writer Efthimis Filippou.
