New Records for Tourism in 2014

Greek tourism seems set for another record year in 2014, with arrivals pegged over the 18 million.
This was the message of an address by the president of the north Greek chapter of German-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, Stefanos Tziritis at a conference entitled "Tourism Development: Reinforcing Competitiveness," in Thessaloniki.
"Along with cruises, expected revenue is 13 billion euros," he added
"Tourism is the vehicle that will lead the country out of the recession and into development," was the message of minister for Macedonia and Thrace, Theodoros Karaoglou, who added that Greece is a friendly, safe, and especially economic destination with high level tourism services.
