Police clash with anarchists in downtown Athens

Downtown Athens turned in to a ‘war zone’, after anarchists and anti-authoritarian groups hurled petrol bombs against Greek riot police, late Saturday night st 1.30am.
The anarchists burned two parked vehicles and some rubbish containers on Patision Street near the Polytechnic school. Police responded with the use of tear gas, with the clashes lasting until 5 in the morning. Some traffic lights are also damaged during the riots.
