Alternate Justice Min: EU letter violates Greek Constitution

"The letter of Valdis Dombrovskis, Pierre Moscovisi and Marianne Thyssen does not only violate the Greek Constitution but also the EU institutional acquis," Alternate Justice Minister Dimitris Papangelopoulos said in a statement on Thursday.
"The three European officials essentially ask the Greek government to intervene in the independent Greek justice in favor of Mr. Georgiou, who has been under investigation for the possibility of having committed crimes. It's a shame," the statement concluded.
