KKE: New TV landscape translates only to change of ownership
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The new page in the TV landscape only concerns the change of ownership and not the character and the content of the media, Communist Party KKE said in an annoucement on Friday after the conclusion of the tender for TV licences.
The TV channels with the same and some new owners will not safeguard the people's right to information and entertainment or the media workers rights, the announcement added.
The SYRIZA-ANEL government aimed to changes in the TV market share and create a friendly TV environment as former governments did, noted KKE adding that those referring to the 'safeguarding of the public interest, objectivity and pluralism in information are only ridiculous in the conditions that the capital state dominates and the TV channels remain under the capital's ownership that will use them for its own interest, noted KKE.
