Greek ambassador in Brazil missing; charred body found in Greek envoy's rented car

The coroner is currently examining the charred body found in an abandoned car in the area Nova Iguacu of the city of Rio, Brasil, rented by the Greek ambassador in Brazilia Kyriakos Amiridis a few days ago.
Diplomatic sources said to the press that the Greek Embassy has requested from the Foreign Ministry of Brasil to proceed immediately with the autopsy of the charred body and to officially inform them as soon as the results are ready. The Foreign Ministry and the Greek Embassy in Brazilia are in close cooperation with the Brazilian authorities to proceed with the necessary actions to accelerate the course of the investigation to locate the Greek ambassador in Brazil. The Greek ambassador to Buenos Aires Dimitris Zevelakis, following Greek Foreign Ministry's orders, will go on Friday to Brazil to offer his assistance to the Greek Embassy in Brazilia.
