SYRIZA MEP Papadimoulis notes need to bring change in Europe after re-election as VP

SYRIZA MEP Dimitris Papadimoulis stressed the need for Europe to change to avoid suffering a major political setback in statements to the press after he was re-elected again Vice-President of the European Parliament on Tuesday.
Commenting on the elected European parliament President, Antonio Tajani, he said the domination of the Right creates a challenge for the wider progressive forces to form a more a “more coherent and powerful progressive pole”.
Papadimoulis also thanked the European Left and MEP from other political groups who voted for him adding he will do all he can to respond to the “enhanced confidence, which translates into increased responsibility".
