"Figurines, a microcosmos of clay" at Thessaloniki Archaeological Museum

Figures from the depths of time made of clay and water, a microcosmos of clay, gods and godesses, people and visions over the centuries compose a very important temporary exhibition entitled "Figurines. A microcosmos of clay" that opened on Monday at the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki.
This extraordinary exhibition will present 672 figurines, 291 of them from the museum's permanent exhibition and the others from the Antiquities Ephorate of northern Greece. Most of them are presented for the first time as a unique panorama of figures from the 7th millenium BC to the 4th century AD.
The exhibition that will run for a year is inaugurated on Monday by the Secretary General of the Culture Ministry Maria Andreadaki-Vlazaki.
The entrance will be free to public.
