A statement concerning the thousands of young Greeks seeking their fortune abroad owing to high unemployment and crisis made by actor and former KKE MP Kostas Kazakos has triggered an uproar.
"Everything the young want, desire, work, home, family, they have to fight for them and struggle to gain them in their country," said the actor on a show called Happy Day.
"Otherwise they are foreigners. They left and went to work in foreign countries. And what will happen to the country? This is in fact betrayal," he added in his statement that caused great reactions.
Social media went wild with the statement with many reminding Costas Kazakos that he is very well remunarated by the state theater, where he is a director.
