Tsakalotos in London seeking investments
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos is going to London on Wednesday for two days of meetings with representatives of investment firms.
A finance ministry announcement said that Tsakalotos will outline the prospects of the Greek economy and highlight that this had entered a period of recovery.
He is also expected to refer to a greater climate of confidence that will help in attracting investments following the June 15 Eurogroup agreement.
Sources said that the government's aim is to capitalised on the falling interest rates for Greek bonds after the Eurogroup deal and the final statement pledging to support Greece's return to the markets, including statements by the head of the European Stability Mechanism Klaus Regling that this might even take place toward the end of the current year.
