The hospital chief pointed out that it was an international ring operating in at least 11 countries, noting that "the success of the police is important", as it "received congratulations from seven police heads of the countries that had been victims of thefts."
"I am delighted that the Greek police with high professionalism and acting in an official capacity succeeded in something that has a strong symbolic character. The symbolism lies in the fact that the state, the services, the ministries, the ones who are accountable for a number of things, do their job very well and they get results," Mr. Nanos noted.
Among other things, the governor of the University Hospital said the medical equipment that had been stolen and returned to the university hospital is a colonoscope and a gastroscope, and two more machines are expected to be returned.
Finally, Mr. Nanos noted that the University Hospital, following a subsidy received by the Ministry of 95,000 euros, is proceeding with a tender for the latest technology in the field of gastroscopy.
