An international tender for the sale of state-owned Hellenic Vehicle Industry (HVI) was declared unsuccessful on Monday after a deadline to express interest in the company expired without any candidates in the evening.
This is the second tender announced by the hired liquidator, Ernst & Young, in the past few months. The first one had also been declared unsuccessful despite the two offers made by two companies: Germany?s Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co. KG (KMW) and South Africa?s Paramount Group.
Aliogas said the union will request a meeting with Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos and Alternate Defence Minister Dimitris Vitsas in the coming days, to ask for the company?s transfer under the competence of the ministry of defence.
