One killed by severe weather in western Attica

An elderly woman died as a result of the unprecedented destruction caused by the severe weather in the area of Mandra and Nea Peramos, to the west of Athens
According to information, the unfortunate woman aged 75 to 80 lost her life in the Mandra region. Police report that there are four more people in the same area trapped in the same neighborhood, but approaching their homes is difficult.
According to the fire brigade spokesperson, the unfortunate woman was found dead at her home on Koropouli Street, where she was trapped by the waters that reached a great height. Rescue crews arrived a while ago at the point where the woman was found dead.
Both the area of Mandra and Nea Peramos were placed under a condition of emergency.
