Hellenic Army to receive 70 OH-58D Kiowa Warrior from US Army stocks

The Greek Government Council for Foreign Policy & Defence convened on Wednesday afternoon.
There it was decided, among other things that were not announced, that the Hellenic Army will buy 70 OH-58D Kiowa Warrior armed reconnaissance helicopters that the US Army has retired for a cost of 46 million Euros.
A total of 36 helicopters will be in full operational condition and they will be sent to the islands of the Aegean Sea to enhance the rapid reaction capabilities of the islands’ forces, 10 will be used for training purposes and the rest will be used for spare parts.
