New Democracy may walk out of Novartis vote, if 10 ballot boxes are used
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
New Democracy (ND) Vice President Costis Hatzidakis on Tuesday left open the possibility that his party will walk out of parliament during Wednesday's vote on whether to set up a Parliamentary preliminary examination committee on the Novartis case, if the government insists on setting up a separate ballot box for each of the 10 individuals to be investigated.
Speaking to SKAI radio on Tuesday, Hatzidakis said that "the government is good at communication gimmicks but unable to solve any problem".
He reiterated that ND's position is that full light be shed on the entire case: "We have nothing to hide. We will not sit there with our arms crossed, we will stand up to this manipulation...".
