The issue of the arrest and detention of the two Greek military personnel by the Turkish authorities will be discussed today at the current plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
The issue comes to the European Parliament following a joint proposal by the EPP and the Left Eurogroups, and MEPs will discuss human rights violations and the rule of law in Turkey, in the presence of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Federica Mogherini.
The plenary will discuss the steps to be taken to liberate the two military men and will be followed by a resolution on Thursday 19 April on the procedure to be followed for their release.
