- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Stephanos Tsitsipas wrote history for Greek tennis. In the biggest moment of his career so far, the 20-year-old tennis player, 63 in the world, fought in the final of Barcelona and was defeated 6-2, 6-1 by the top of the world rankings and multiple winner of the title, Rafael Nadal.
On a stunning course, where Tsitsipas excluded three top-20 tennis players, he reached the final against the Spanish ace in order experience his first loss in the tournament! In fact he took the first match of the game, but then Nadal was unbeatable and reached 5-1 and 6-2 in 41 minutes.
