Dangerous prisoners escape from police van (upd)

The prisoners who escaped from a ship in Piraeus during their transfer had been sentenced to two life sentences each. Indeed, one of the two had executed a 35-year-old and his two and a half-year-old son in Kalamata.

Albanian Halili Juliand, 35, also  known as "Nikko," who reportedly executed a death contract near the Tamari river dam on November 29, 2011,killing 35-year-old Feliam Mezai from Albania and his 2.5 year old son Kerry.

The same Albanian executor was charged with the attempted murder on March 6, 2009 in Nea Philadelphia, of the former wife of the "leader" on the occasion of the custody of their minor daughter.

He shot him twice in the head and once in his chest. The victim after successive surgeries survived. After 5 months, on 5 August 2009, in Igoumenitsa, Thesprotia, an unknown man attempted to shoot him again, but without result, as the pistol jammed.

Two of the four detainees vanished like smoke during their transfer to Alikarnassos Prison.

The prisoners were in a police van. Once this had just entered the ship to Chania, they found the opportunity to escape.

According to information, when the van carrying 11 detainees to the Alikarnassos prison entered the ship "El. Venizelos" to Chania, four prisoners stepped off and began to run to the ship's exit, according to SKAI television. The police officers were suddenly surprised and began to shout to coast guard personnel "Prisoners escaping, grab them!"

The coast guard managed to detain one after they left the ship, while a short time later police motorcycle troops arrested another prisoner outside the harbor area. Search is under way to locate the other two escapees, that managed to disappear.
