Meeting of Foreign Ministers of "Visegrad-4 plus Balkan-4 plus" groups

The second ministerial meeting, "Visegrad-4 plus Balkan-4 plus", was launched in Sounion on Friday, following the first meeting in Budapest last December to enhance EU co-operation.

The future of the EU, its Enlargement, and Energy will be the three work tables that will bring together "8" foreign ministers - of the 4 EU / Visegrad countries (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic) of the four Balkan countries / members of the EU (Greece, Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania) together with their counterparts as observers of the Western Balkan candidate countries in the EU (Albania, FYROM, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina) Slovenia and Cyprus.

The Ministerial Meeting in Sounio aims to deepen the debate on the three main themes of the agenda and with the participation of Greek parliamentarians and reputable scientists to enrich it with broader approaches capable of responding to the challenges facing Europe today.
