- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Episodes occurred after 21:00 on Sunday at the landfill site in Lefkimmi, Kerkyra.
The protesters on the 23rd day of the mobilizations gathered shortly after 8pm at the Neohori Stadium, which is close to the landfill, trying to reach the site, but they were prevented by the police forces that used chemicals.
Episodes triggered a fire in an adjacent olive grove, which was extinguished by the direct intervention of the fire brigade.
The inhabitants of Lefkimmi are asking that the landfill becomes defunct and that the police forces are removed from the area.
