- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The new institution of "neighborhood taxman" will launch next Monday, according to the announcement of the State Revenue Service governor, Giorgos Pitsillis.
On October 29 incremental tax collectors from Rhodes with the Piraeus Prefect, Rigas Barkoulis will visit the islands of Patmos, Lipsi, Agathonisi and Symi.
The tax authority goal is to solve problems that can not be resolved through the Taxis online system, but also to help taxpayers that need help on tax issues they face.
According to the design of the authorities:
1) Mobile taxpayer service teams will be set up, which in consultation with municipalities will inform taxpayers.
2) In a second stage it will be examined if computers will be installed in specific areas, possibly in municipalities where via skype taxpayers associated with the tax office can seek help on issues of tax law and can not be served by local taxpayers' offices.
3) four electronic guides will be created with the following issues: a) Issues relating to regular salaries, b) Purchase and sale of real estate, c) First time taxpayer d) How can I pay taxes. Taxpayers will submit their inquiries electronically and will receive a response within the day from the relevant address to be established in the State Revenue Service for this purpose.
