Cleaning woman convicted to ten years for falsifying grade school diploma released
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
A 53-year-old cleaner from Volos, who falsified the Primary school graduation certificate to work in a kindergarten was released from the prison of Eleonas in Thebes. The five-member Court of Appeal of Larissa decided earlier on her release.
The court has reached this decision, on the grounds of the 53-year-old's poor psychological condition and the health problems faced by her husband. The 53-year-old was imprisoned following a conviction by the same court to a 10-year prison sentence for the offense she committed.
This development came after the intervention of the Athens Prosecutor Xenis Demetriou, who asked for the decision in question to be sent to him to examine whether there were reasons for disciplinary control of the judges who issued it.
