- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued an announcement on the passing of Nikos Mouyiaris.
We express our deepest sorrow for the passing of Nikos Mouyiaris. A patriot and philanthropist who contributed greatly to inspiring and mobilizing the Greek American community, to improving Greece-US relations and to the causes of Hellenism.
He leaves behind a unique legacy for Greek-Americans to follow – someone who achieved the American Dream while keeping Hellenism at the forefront of his heart and soul. His establishment of the Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC) was one of his great gifts to Hellenism and we are sure it will carry on in his footsteps.
Sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
