Copper thieves steal hundreds of meters of electric train wiring

Persons unknown cut hundreds of meters of cable used by electric trains, near Domokos station, resulting i halting a train on the Thessaloniki to Athens routs. The train remained there for about an hour and a half.
This is train 61 that passed from Domokos shortly after 8 pm, but a few kilometers laterstopped whenthe cabling was found to be missing.
At 9:00 PM, at the Lianokladi railway station, train number 60 on the Athens to Thessaloniki route,waited for the problem to be rectified in order to continue its course to Larissa and Thessaloniki.
OSE executives, for the time being, can not pinpoint the delay time, but they assure that the necessary initiatives have been taken to restore traffic.
