FM Katrougalos meets with UN special envoy for Cyprus Lute

Foreign Minister George Katrougalos met on Tuesday with Special Envoy of the United Nations for Cyprus, Jane Holl Lute, who was in Athens.
According to diplomatic sources, Katrougalos stressed Greece's firm positions for the solution of the Cyprus issue on the basis of UN resolutions for the reunification of the island, an ending of the unacceptable regime of guarantees and the withdrawal of Turkish occupation troops.
The Greek side also raised the issue of the violations in Strovilia as a reason for preserving the UNFICYP forces on the island.
