The Athens first instance court decided in August against Adonis and Leonidas Georgiadis, their firm “Elliniki Agogi,” and the firm's director of studies Anna Efstathiou Tziropoulos, who was actually the party responsible for the copyrights infringement.
According to the case file, the plaintiff, Theophilos Simaioforidis, sued the above for illegal use of the logo “Ellinon Logos” of which he is the recognized creator, as he stated and was affirmed in court. According to Mr. Simaioforidis, Anna Efstathiou Tziropoulos used the plaintiff's ideas in two of her works entitled “How Greek fertilized global language” and “Logos within the word,” without his permission.
The court recognized the plaintiff was correct and ordered the destruction of all works published by the company in which the term “Ellinon Logos” is used, and a fine of 20,000 euros from each defendant for moral injury to the plaintiff.
