FM Dendias to brief parties about US-Greece defense agreement

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will see party representatives successively on Friday to brief them on the US-Greece mutual defense cooperation agreement.
Dendias is scheduled to meet from 1100 to 1499 with all parties represented on the National Council of Foreign Policy.
The agreement is currently being discussed in the parliament plenary, where National Defense Minister Nikos Panagiotopoulos said on Thursday that it is not an agreement about American bases in Greece. "It is a deeper synergy with investments in infrastructure, benefitting mostly the Greek armed forces, and a synergy that could bring a stronger defense for our country in the current geopolitical
