Greek tourism outreach campaign to begin earlier than ever before
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Greece's outreach campaign will begin earlier than any other year, in January 2020, as stressed by Minister of Tourism Haris Theocharis at a meeting with reporters.
With a view to targeting Greek tourism markets for 2020, the ministry aspires to win the booking bet by the start of the new year. The answer to EOT's low budget to carry out the task of promoting Greece abroad is to strategically target critical markets, such as China and other non-Schengen countries, as Mr. Theocharis said. This year, these funds will not exceed 16 million euros in total.
Asked about the possible cooperation of EOT with the company of the Hellenic Tourism Business Association, Marketing Greece, the minister stressed that a formula is being promoted and examined.
Currently, the Ministry of Tourism is in the process of implementing legislative interventions in the area of diving tourism, as well as short-term leasing.
