The US government's support for the EastMed pipeline through its participation in the trilateral co-operation of Greece, Cyprus and Israel was reiterated on Twitter by US Ambassador to Greece Jeffrey Pyatt, noting the political and diplomatic importance of this new agreement.
The position of Jeffrey Pyatt is an indirect response to today's Turkish announcements on the signing of the EastMed energy pipeline agreement between Greece, Cyprus and Israel.
