"Greece strongly condemns any action insulting the national symbols of any country and, in this case, of Turkey," the foreign ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
"Such actions are contrary to the culture and traditions of the Greek people," the statement added.
The foreign ministry was referring to the burning of the Turkish flag by a group of people on Tuesday, at Syntagma square, during a ceremony held on the Remembrance Day of the Pontian Genocide.
