Woman on Skopelos island killed by lightning

A woman, 53, was killed by lightning on Tuesday, while out in the fields on Skopelos, the Sporades group of islands.
Preliminary information said the woman, of Bulgarian origin, had just stopped doing farm work with her partner when a downpour began. They were heading back to the main town, Chora, when she was struck down.
The Skopelos police have called for an autopsy.
