Over 28 kg of cocaine confiscated and four individuals arrested in police operation in Athens

Police confiscated 28 kilos of cocaine following an operation in Athens which resulted in four arrests.
The police operation was held in the context of a search for the arrest of two individuals, aged 61 and 67, both members of a drug dealing international ring that imports huge quantities of cocaine in Europe.
According to police, the ring's activity in the import and transfer of large quantities of cocaine from the Netherlands to Greece.
During the operation, one of the suspects was spotted carrying 24 packages containing at total of 28 kg and 35 grams of cocaine in camouflaged caches in his car.
It is noted that the logo 555 printed on the plastic package certified that it was cocaine of high purity produced in a Latin American country.
Two more individuals, aged 51 and 49, were also arrested on illegal weapons possession charges, while their possible involvement in the case is under investigation.
A total of 28 kg and 35 grams of cocaine were found and seized while three vehicles, a pistol, 26 cartridges, 550 euros cash, 12 cellphones and a precision scale were confiscated.
