Light is being shed on the murder of the businessman, Giorgos Grigoriadis who was found dead in an irrigation canal in Nigrita, Serres.

According to kavalapost.gr, the police proceeded to bring in two suspects, with one of them allegedly confessing, while the Serres Police Department also brought the elderly mother of the 50-year-old confessed perpetrator who, according to the latest information, confessed that she helped her son put the lifeless body of the 42-year-old in his car, which afterward the perpetrator threw it in the irrigation canal.

From the first moment that his body was located, the police estimated that he was killed elsewhere, as traces of blood were found in the trunk of his car, which showed that the killer took him to the isolated area where he threw him in the irrigation canal. The body was also barefoot.

The 50-year-old, a former member of the diaspora from the Black Sea area of the former Soviet Union in origin, like the victim, lived on the ground floor opposite the house that was being renovated by the 42-year-old businessman, while his mother lived upstairs. Serres Security police officers, in collaboration with Kavala police, closely monitored the alleged perpetrator and after gathering the necessary information proceeded to his arrest.

According to information, the intense quarrel that the alleged perpetrator had with the victim, which led to his capture - hence the abrasions on the face of the unfortunate Grigoriadis - was the basic information-testimony of residents that led the police to the perpetrator.

After the fight, the 42-year-old tried to return to the house where he worked and then received a blow to his back from the alleged perpetrator with a sharp object, with his motives not known until now, while his mother allegedly helped him clean up. the point of the asphalt which was splashed with the blood of Grigoriadis.

Mother and son will be taken on the morning of Tuesday, December 22, 2020, to the Public Prosecutor of Serres.
