Following the recommendation of the committee of infectious diseases on Wednesday, the health ministry is expected to finalize the measures that give greater freedom of movement to the vaccinated, especially indoors, and to announce these measures at 15:00.
According to sources, the new measures will be oriented towards an open society that aims to help vaccinated people return to normalcy and protect the unvaccinated, but without imposing additional restrictions on them.
Health Minister Thanos Plevris in an interview with Open TV earlier on Wednesday clarified that the measures for the unvaccinated will not become more restrictive. He explained that there can no longer be horizontal measures per region, implying that there will be more freedoms, even in the "red areas". As he said, there are no thoughts for restrictive measures, such as those implemented last year.
