Minister of Development: No worries about gas adequacy in Greece

Featured Minister of Development: No worries about gas adequacy in Greece

The Minister of Development, Adonis Georgiadis, appeared reassuring about the consequences that the developments in Ukraine will have for our country.

He assured that there is absolutely no concern on the issue of gas adequacy in Greece from the developments so far, speaking to SKAI.

As he said, one of the measures being discussed is to impose an embargo on the pipelines that pass through Ukraine, however natural gas reaches Greece through the Black Sea from the Turk Stream and Azerbaijan.

As concerns the Government Foreign Affairs and Defense Council (KYSEA) meeting, he explained that it is the foreseen procedure as a major event has occurred in our area.

Regarding the increase in prices, he said that it remains to be seen how the world economy will react to the developments in Ukraine, however, any increase in fuel prices today is a speculation.

On cheap electricity and the Left

Adonis Georgiadis insisted in his view that the left is responsible for the fact that there is no cheap electricity in Greece.

"But when in every effort to get cheap electricity some nutjobs dash to the Council of State and obstruct the permits and the works, will we not have more expensive electricity?" wondered Mr. Georgiadis, adding that the left is 100% the biggest disaster for Greece.

"In general, for every problem of our country, the ideological hegemony of the left has the main responsibility," said the Minister of Development.
