From Monday 9 to Friday 20 May 2022, the 116th Medium Scale Multinational Air Exercise "NATO Tiger Meet 2022" is being held at 116th Combat Wing / Araxos Air Base.
The purpose of the Exercise is to provide high quality business training in the spirit of "Train as you fight" by improving the skills and cooperation of members in conducting complex operations.
The Exercise will be conducted throughout the Athens FIR, with the participation of a large number of air forces from our country as well as from Belgium, France, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, the Czech Republic and NATO. Also participating are Austria, Germany, the USA, the Netherlands, Portugal and Poland with observers, personnel and means, as well as Army and Navy forces.
The Hellenic Air Force un-invited NATO member Turkey after the provocations in the Aegean reached a crescendo in the last month.
