Case of murdered Chinese woman in suitcase solved

A year and a half later, the mafia-style murder of a 38-year-old Chinese woman who was found dead in a suitcase was finally solved.

The 38-year-old was located on 29-12-2020 in a forest area in the area of ​​Kaza in Vilia, Attica.

Her disappearance was reported on October 17, 2020 at the Omonia Security Department.

A 47-year-old man, also a Chinese national, was arrested for the murder, who had gone with her to the casino and the 38-year-old had lent him the amount of 10,000 euros.

The 38-year-old was reportedly used to lending money (ie loan sharking) to Chinese casino patrons and receiving high interest. That is why the police officers of the Homicide Prosecution Department, who solved the case, estimate that the motives for the murder were financial.

The case of the murder of a 38-year-old foreigner was investigated, whose body was found on 29-12-2020 in a forest area in the area of ​​Kaza Vilion, Attica, and for which a disappearance was reported on 17-10-2020 at the Omonia Security Department.

According to the months-long and systematic investigation of the Crimes against Life Department of the Attica Security Directorate, a 47-year-old foreigner, a compatriot of the victim, was identified as the perpetrator, and was arrested today, Wednesday, May 18, 2022, on an arrest warrant.

The arrested person, with the case file against him, is taken to the competent Prosecutor's Office.
