Femicide in Zakynthos: The 51-year-old to the prosecutor

This Tuesday morning, the 51-year-old foreigner who stabbed the 41-year-old woman to death on Sunday night is expected to be brought before the prosecutor of Zakynthos.

The 51-year-old man, who was arrested, beat and then butchered the 41-year-old woman, with whom he had three children, aged 20, 14 and 8, with a kitchen knife on Sunday night.

The police officers who were called to the scene after a call from neighbors about a domestic incident, found the woman covered in blood and seriously injured. An ambulance was immediately called, but the unfortunate woman ended up a few minutes after arriving at the hospital. He suffered bruises and abrasions, as well as stab wounds to his neck and chest.

The knife twisted from the fury of the blows

According to information from the Mega TV station, the 51-year-old man stabbed his 41-year-old wife with such fury that the blade of the knife twisted!

The brutal crime that took place in the village of Tsilivi has shocked the society of Zakynthos. According to police sources, the woman suffered stab wounds to her ribs and face, and was punched and kicked.

According to the same sources, after the intervention of the prosecutor of Zakynthos, it is expected that Smile of the Child will take over the two minor children of the unfortunate 41-year-old. They are an 8-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, while the third child is an adult, 20 years old, and lives permanently in Kalamata.

The perpetrator was arrested 12 hours after the murder of the 41-year-old woman, in the building where she worked, in the village of Keri.

What the neighbors said about the femicide

The testimony of a neighbor about the femicide in Zakynthos is shocking, as, as she told the police, the perpetrator, after hitting the unfortunate woman, then pulled her by the hair and shouted that he was going to kill her.

In fact, the couple's neighbor was the one who found the unfortunate woman in a pool of blood and next to her was a kitchen knife, the blade of which was bent, apparently from the blows to her body.

According to information, at 21:30 on Sunday the unfortunate woman went to the local police station and filed a complaint against the perpetrator, as he had beaten her a few minutes earlier. At 10:30 p.m. she returned home and then the perpetrator, in a fit of rage, according to a neighbor's testimony, hit her and pulled her by the hair, shouting that he was going to kill her.

The couple was separated, while there was a decision of the Court of First Instance for the construction worker which said that he was forbidden to stay at or even approach the conjugal home.

Woman killer convicted of domestic violence

The perpetrator of the femicide was known to the authorities for his violent character. It was only on June 22 of this year that he was convicted of domestic violence against the 41-year-old and was banned from coming within 100 meters of her home. The woman, however, took pity on him, as she had nowhere to stay, and hosted him in her house, until last night he killed her.

The perpetrator went to work normally

Neighbors of the 41-year-old woman called the police on Sunday night and reported that the 51-year-old man was hitting his wife and shouting that he was going to kill her.

When the authorities arrived at the scene, the killer had disappeared and next to the victim's body there was a knife, the blade of which had been bent by the force the perpetrator had used. After 12 hours he was spotted in the Keri area, where he had normally gone to work on a construction site, as if nothing had happened.
