Battle with the flare-ups in Evros - Small outbreaks in Parnitha

Firefighters were scrambling for one more night to put out the flare-ups in Evros.
According to the Fire Brigade, extinguishing efforts are concentrated in the areas of Lefkimmi, Kotronia and Tris Vryses, where the most flare-ups occur. At the same time, there are also flare-ups in the area of Kassiteri.
A total of 475 firefighters with 100 vehicles, 16 teams on foot are operating, assisted by 11 airplanes and 7 helicopters.
Among the firefighters battling the flames in Evros are forces from Cyprus, Germany, Bulgaria, Serbia, France, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Albania.
In Parnitha, where strong ground forces continue to blow, the firefighters are battling small fires near Fyli.
The fire risk remains high for many areas on Wednesday.
