Participation of the Greece's Special Warfare Command in "Dynamic Manta 24" Allied exercise

Personnel and means of the Special Warfare Command (DEP) of the Greek Navy as well as the General Staff of the Navy participated, from February 23 to 28, in the small-scale exercise on Special Operations objects within the framework of the "Dynamic Manta 24" allied exercise, in the wider maritime area east of Sicily.
The exercise was designed by NATO's MARCOM Command. As announced today, the exercise was designed by NATO's Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM).
As part of the activity, in addition to the Greek participation, ships of the Italian Navy also took part.
During its duration, among others, the following objects were carried out:
● Procedures for releasing and collecting personnel on a boat, from a submarine.
● Perform an infiltration of an enemy shore by boat.
● Execution of a Special Surveillance - Reconnaissance mission
● Procedure for communicating with a submarine and sending itarget.nformation
● Submarine pick-up after completion οφ mission against virtual coastal target.
The activity is part of the overall planning of the Hellenic Defense General Staff in terms of the international cooperation of the Armed Forces and contributed to increasing the interoperability of the participating forces, the announcement added.
